Job summary

Resonant Energy is seeking a Solar Design Manager in Boston to own the end-to-end design process for rooftop, ground-mount, and canopy solar projects for nonprofits and affordable housing. You will draft PV layouts, SLDs, and specs using AutoCAD, Scanifly, and Aurora, coordinating with engineers and architects to ensure code compliance.

You will support interconnection, provide technical guidance to project managers, and help integrate solar into building plans from early stages through

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or comparable experience.
• 2+ years of solar PV and/or BESS electrical design/engineering.
• Working knowledge of NEC, building code and fire code.
• Preferred NABCEP certificate and experience with new construction solar.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer solar PV systems for rooftop, ground-mount, and canopy projects.
• Create PV layouts, SLDs, and equipment specs, ensuring NEC/code compliance.
• Coordinate with third-party engineers and interconnection processes.
• Collaborate with architects and building engineers on early-stage designs.
• Provide technical support during installation and maintain design records.
