Job summary

Entergy is seeking a Maintenance Operator for the Sunflower Solar Site in The Woodlands, TX. You will perform inspections, monitor and operate solar equipment, and maintain records of site activities, ensuring safety and reliability.

The role requires daily onsite presence, knowledge of power systems, and the ability to troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance. This is a safety-sensitive position with pre-employment and random drug testing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Preferred: Process Technology/Instrumentation college degree or equivalent.
• Maintenance Operator I - II: 0-2 years operations or entry level with Process Technology or Instrumentation background.
• Maintenance Operator III: 2-3 years experience in operations or Instrumentation.
• Maintenance Operator: 3 years experience in operations or similar field.
• Preferred: Experience in electrical, instrumentation and controls.

Responsibilities

• Monitor equipment and understand power plant systems.
• Perform routine inspections of site equipment including inverters, transformers, modules, trackers, weather stations and soil monitoring stations.
• Maintain records of site activities, visitors, substation work, battery logs and generator operation.
• Coordinate with component manufacturers for troubleshooting, repairs and maintenance.
• Conduct daily field sweeps to verify tracker systems and identify faulty components.
