Job summary

SunPower in Orem, Utah seeks an Industrial Engineer / Operations Analyst to optimize solar project performance from sales to activation. You will turn data into actionable insights, build dashboards, and work across operations to improve speed, quality, and profitability.

The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, cross-functional collaboration, and hands-on analytics across CRM, ERP, design, and installation systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field or equivalent practical experience.
• 2-5+ years in operations analytics, industrial engineering, or similar.
• Experience with large operational datasets and data visualization tools.
• Strong Excel skills including PivotTables and Power Query.
• Experience building Power BI, Tableau, or similar dashboards.
• Ability to translate data patterns into actionable business actions.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data across the solar project lifecycle to identify bottlenecks and opportunities.
• Track project flow from sale through design, permitting, installation, inspection, PTO and activation.
• Build and maintain dashboards providing real-time visibility into pipeline, aging, throughput, and performance.
• Map operational workflows and recommend process changes to improve speed and profitability.
• Automate data collection and recurring reporting to reduce manual work.
• Collaborate with IT/Data teams to improve data quality and reporting infrastructure.
