Job summary

Qcells North America in Cartersville, GA is seeking a Module Equipment Engineer responsible for manufacturing solar modules, including soldering, inspection, mechanical assembly, and machinery management, ensuring high industry standards and on-time output.

You will run diagnostics, commission control systems, calibrate instrumentation, perform preventive maintenance, and support equipment development. Proactive, collaborative, and able to work in a fast-paced plant environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of relative experience in module equipment or manufacturing engineering.
• SolidWorks proficiency including explorer, sheet metal, toolbox, BOM, and weldments.
• Materials knowledge including corrosion, failure mechanisms, and strength of materials.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and MS Office; experience with project management tools.
• Experience with PDM systems, preferably Synergis Adept.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment and stand/walk in production areas.

Responsibilities

• Run diagnostic tests and repair malfunctioning equipment across plant automation.
• Commission control systems and troubleshoot operational issues; calibrate instrumentation and sensors.
• Perform preventive maintenance; manage spares stock and CMMS data; execute work orders.
• Create solid models and drawings using SolidWorks guidelines and procedures.
• Troubleshoot PLC, HMI, motors, and motor control problems.
