Job summary

Corning is seeking a Manufacturing Data Engineer to establish the Tolleson, Arizona site’s data, reporting, and analytics foundation for scaling solar module manufacturing. You will design data structures and KPI frameworks, build dashboards, and collaborate with operations, supply chain, quality, finance, and IT to turn business needs into scalable data solutions.

The role requires 3+ years in data engineering or BI, strong SQL, and experience with Power BI/Tableau, plus ERP and manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, or related discipline.
• At least three years of experience in data engineering, business intelligence, analytics, or reporting development.
• Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with data querying, transformation, and validation.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SAP reporting tools, or comparable visualization platforms.
• Experience with ERP, manufacturing, warehouse, or operational systems.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement data structures, dashboards, scorecards, and KPI frameworks to support startup operations and sustained business performance.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to define data requirements, reporting priorities, and meaningful performance measures.
• Support operational excellence through root cause analysis, performance tracking, standardized metrics, and data-informed process improvements.
• Establish and maintain data governance, quality, and reporting standards; document KPI calculations and reporting logic.
