Job summary

Corning Inc. is seeking a Senior Business Analyst (Finance) for its Solar manufacturing operations in Phoenix, AZ. You will partner with operations, engineering and supply chain to understand plant performance, manage costs and support strategic decisions.

The role requires manufacturing‑finance experience, budgeting/forecasting, month‑end close and strong analytical skills to deliver actionable insights to leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of FP&A, cost accounting, or plant finance experience.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, financial reporting, and performance management.
• Experience with month-end close processes and financial statement analysis.
• Ability to work independently and provide financial recommendations to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Partner with manufacturing, operations, engineering and supply chain to monitor performance and drive results.
• Lead monthly financial reporting, analysis, and close activities for the division.
• Analyze actual results vs. budget/forecast and explain variances.
• Support cost analysis, performance reporting and financial recommendations.
• Identify spending trends and cost-reduction opportunities for decision-making.
• Perform analyses on manufacturing costs, standard costing, labor and overhead.
• Support annual budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning.
• Deliver meaningful financial reporting, KPIs and operational metrics.
• Ensure accuracy of GL, reconciliations and financial records.
• Support SOX/compliance and internal/external audits.
• Drive improvements in financial processes and data visibility.
