Job summary

Corning Inc. seeks a motivated Process Engineer to join its Solar manufacturing team in Phoenix, AZ. You will support design, optimization, and control of manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 0-3 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Experience with automation, controls, or programming.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; able to work in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes for solar panels and related products.
• Analyze production workflows to improve efficiency, throughput, quality, and waste reduction.
• Support design, testing, and implementation of new manufacturing technologies and process improvements.
• Apply structured problem-solving methodologies to resolve production issues.
• Establish and maintain process controls to ensure product quality and performance.
• Investigate deviations, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and operating standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction.
• Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to improve equipment reliability.
