Corning's solar module facility in Tolleson, AZ seeks an Equipment Engineer II to sustain and improve manufacturing performance. You will own diagnostics, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives, impacting quality and efficiency on the production floor.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a relevant engineering field and 2+ years in equipment maintenance, with knowledge in mechanical/electrical maintenance and problem-solving methods. Overtime and PPE are part of the job.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in equipment maintenance.
• Proficiency in electrical or mechanical maintenance with design or programming knowledge.
• Familiarity with quality problem-solving methodologies (8D, DMAIC, Six Sigma, PDCA, 5Why, Ishikawa, FMEA).
• Willing to work extended hours and in challenging environments with PPE.

Responsabilités

• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for downtime and quality issues.
• Drive equipment improvement projects from design to implementation.
• Manage spare parts standards and review monthly consumption.
• Maintain equipment specs and technical documentation with cross-functional teams.
• Deliver technical training and produce engineering reports.
• Collaborate with manufacturers on performance issues and safety risk.
