New Energy Equity seeks an M&A Associate to support deal teams in structuring and closing solar project acquisitions. You’ll manage diligence, run financial models, and coordinate cross-functional teams to execute deals with accuracy and speed.

The role emphasizes market analysis, project identification, and negotiations, with a hybrid work model requiring in-office presence in Annapolis, Boulder, or Boston. Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits accompany the position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in M&A or related deal work.
• Strong corporate finance, valuation, and investment analysis knowledge.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel with complex models.
• Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
• Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deal-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Support deal team in organizing diligence requirements, exhibits, diligence logs and other critical deal information.
• Follow up with partners to collect critical documentation in a timely manner.
• Run high-level financial models and analyze scenarios.
• Maintain closing timelines, diligence lists, and organize deal teams for on-schedule closings.
• Keep abreast of solar economics, market trends, and key industry players.
• Attend industry trade shows and conferences (1-2 per year); travel to meet partners as needed.
• Forecasting and opportunity tracking with Salesforce and Power BI; collaborate with cross-functional teams.
