Job summary

SolRiver Capital is seeking an M&A Associate to facilitate the ongoing flow of solar + storage project acquisitions. This role requires 1–2 years of renewable energy project acquisition and financing experience.

You will build financial models, negotiate and draft major deal documents, and assist in project financing while coordinating with consultants to support closings. The position emphasizes diligence, analytical rigor, and strong communication in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of work experience in investment banking, private equity, or energy finance.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field.
• Ability to understand project finance concepts, debt & equity structures, and conditions precedent for transaction closing and milestones.
• Detail-oriented and extremely diligent.
• Ability to work independently with ownership of work product.
• Capable of managing competing priorities in a deal-driven environment.
• Ability to read and understand legal documents.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, negotiate, and execute financial transactions in renewable energy projects.
• Build, audit, and stress test financial models for acquisitions, portfolios, and loans.
• Negotiate and draft LOIs, term sheets, and various agreements with developers.
• Assist in project financing (debt, tax equity) for portfolio projects.
• Manage appraisers, engineers, accounting, and tax consultants during closings.
