Job summary

Black & Veatch in Mulberry, FL is seeking a Solar Leadman 1 to support planning, layout, installation, testing, and repair of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, including electrical, mechanical, and civil components. You will help coordinate the craft workforce, ensure safety, and drive efficient on‑site progress.

The role requires hands‑on trades experience, ability to read plans and specs, supervise crews, maintain quality, and uphold safety standards throughout all installation phases.

Responsibilities

• Use hand and power tools to install PV systems per drawings and instructions
• Lay out, assemble and install solar modules and support structures
• Apply weather sealing and ensure proper mounting for efficiency and safety
• Identify and resolve deficiencies in PV installation or materials
• Read plans and specifications and coordinate tasks to meet contract requirements
• Provide on‑the‑job mentoring to helpers and laborers
• Maintain safety and cleanliness on site and participate in pre‑job safety planning
