Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Solar Laborer to support the preparation, handling and supplying of materials for solar projects. You will load and unload equipment, assist with solar panel installation, rigging, racking assembly, torque tube work, pile layout, and site cleanup.

This role emphasizes teamwork and safety in a dynamic field setting. The ideal candidate has construction experience, comfort with power and hand tools, and a readiness to work with diverse teams on renewable energy sites.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction preferred.
• Ability to work with tools and equipment (power and hand).
• Strong teamwork orientation with customer service skills.
• Detail orientation and effective communication.
• Lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Summary

Mortenson is currently seeking a Solar Laborer that will be responsible for the preparation, handling, and supplying of materials to be used by other crafts.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload equipment and materials
• Responsible for the preparation, handling and supplying of materials to be used by other crafts
• Solar panel install
• Rigging
• Racking assembly
• Torque tube assembly
• Pile layout
• General cleanup and clearing of debris.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction preferred
• Ability to work with tools and equipment such as power and non-powered hand tools, vibrators, pumps, drills, and jackhammers; forklifts, skid loaders, and power buggies
• Strong teamwork orientation; positive attitude and professional customer service skills; detail orientation; active listening skills and effective communication, including an openness to diverse input and feedback
• Repetitive hand, arm, leg movements
• *Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling: up to 50 lbs.
