Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Solar Laborer Foreman to supervise crews, coordinate material supply, and drive safety and production efficiency on site. The role focuses on mentoring team members, implementing lean methods, and ensuring adherence to policies.

Responsibilities include scheduling adjustments, training, and maintaining inventory while leading by example in a fast-paced construction environment. This role supports Mortenson’s mission and requires hands-on leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years related experience preferred.
• Current driver's license.
• Ability to work with tools and equipment such as power and non-powered hand tools, vibrators, pumps, drills, and jackhammers; ability to work with machinery such as forklifts, skid loaders, and power buggies.
• Strong teamwork orientation; positive attitude and professional customer service skills; detail orientation; active listening skills and effective communication, including an openness to diverse input and feedback.

Solar Laborer Foreman

SUMMARY

Mortenson is currently seeking a Laborer Foreman that will be responsible for coordinating crews, preparing, handling, and supplying materials to be used by other crafts.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide shift supervision for the team members
• Lead production team members with an intense focus on safety and quality while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, as well as internal company policies
• Develop work instructions and cross-training plans
• Provide on-the-job training and lead by example
• Drive continuous improvement of plant key performance indicators (Safety, Quality, Customer Service, Cost)
• Adjust schedules and workload balance as required by the operation
• Monitor supply inventory levels, and coordinate with others when reordering is necessary
• Utilize lean methodologies and tools in order to accomplish production goals
• Take ownership of functions and be responsible for the facility
