Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using hand and power tools.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers or components.
• Test electrical systems and circuits for safety and compatibility.
• Repair and maintain motors, transformers, generators, lights and related equipment.
• Study plans and work orders to determine requirements and sequence of work.
• Maintain high voltage systems and ensure compliance with codes.
• Organize work by reviewing orders and gathering tools and supplies.
• Read prints and layout work for new service installations.
• Repair electrical problems by replacing faulty parts.
• Conduct system tests and preventive maintenance.
• Keep supplies stocked by placing orders.
• Maintain safe work environment by following procedures and codes.
• Keep up with technical publications and training.
• Contribute to team outcomes and meet related goals.
• Collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
