Job summary

TMEIC Corporation Americas in Houston is seeking a field service engineer to act as the factory expert for solar inverters, advising clients and engineers on issue resolution. You will perform commissioning, testing, and diagnostics to meet design performance criteria.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting hardware/software issues, updating the CRM with case information, preparing service advisories, and ensuring safety qualifications are maintained.

Qualifications

• Controls engineering experience required.
• Experience with low voltage drive systems.
• Experience with photovoltaic inverter power generation.
• Experience with PPC and battery storage systems.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients and Company engineers to resolve issues, acting as factory expert for solar inverters.
• Analyze client equipment failures using diagnostics tools.
• Provide technical support to clients and other engineers when not in the field.
• Perform commissioning, installations, quality inspections, and performance testing of photovoltaic inverter systems.
• Troubleshoot, isolate issues, repair or replace defective components.
• Update CRM with case information for timely reporting.
• Prepare service advices and issue to clients and field engineers as necessary.
• Write and review field reports and share with clients on request.
• Maintain safety qualifications and comply with safety requirements.
• Process warranty replacements, expediting when necessary.
