Mortenson is seeking a Solar Laborer I in New York to support material prep, handling, and distribution for solar installations. Responsibilities include loading materials, assisting crafts, and preparing sites for panel installation.

The role emphasizes teamwork, physical effort, and safe handling of tools and equipment, with duties such as rigging, pile layout, and cleanups. Visa sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction preferred.
• Ability to work with tools and equipment such as power and non-powered hand tools, vibrators, pumps, drills, and jackhammers; forklifts, skid loaders, and power buggies.
• Strong teamwork orientation; positive attitude and professional customer service skills; detail orientation; active listening skills and effective communication, including an openness to diverse input and feedback.
• Repetitive hand, arm, leg movements.
• Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling: up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload equipment and materials.
• Responsible for the preparation, handling and supplying of materials to be used by other crafts.
• Solar panel install

• General cleanup and clearing of debris
• All other duties as assigned
