Job summary

Mortenson Construction seeks a Superintendent to coordinate, plan, and supervise craft activities in large commercial projects. You will lead assistant superintendents and subcontractors, ensure schedule adherence, and foster strong customer relationships.

Travel up to 100% is required with rotations as specified. This role requires a background in fast-paced industrial or utility-scale work, with the ability to organize diverse teams, mentor site staff, and drive safety, quality, and efficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Construction, Civil, Architectural Engineering, or Construction Management (or equivalent).
• Experience in large commercial projects; not residential.
• Ability to interpret contract documents and develop project schedules.
• Experience leading diverse teams and mentoring field staff.
• Proven capability to manage self-perform work and coordinate subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement material, equipment, and inspections to support the project schedule.
• Review construction documents for completeness and constructability; coordinate with design engineers.
• Develop and manage project schedule and site logistics; collaborate with superintendents.
• Coach and develop team members; conduct site meetings and performance discussions.
• Provide leadership on safety, quality, risk, and compliance; drive process improvements.
