Job summary

Invenergy LLC is seeking a Solar Technician for the Grimes Solar Energy Center in Iola, TX. You will help operate and maintain a 210 MW-AC solar facility, with duties ranging from routine maintenance to troubleshooting inverter and tracker faults.

The position requires a high school diploma, 1 year of technical experience, willingness to travel up to 30%, and the ability to work outdoors and nights as needed. Base pay is hourly with possible bonuses.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• At least 1 year of technical experience or relevant education.
• Willing to travel up to 30% and work nights during maintenance.
• Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on solar, substation, and related equipment.
• Assist vegetation management and operate large equipment per plan.
• Troubleshoot inverter, tracker, network, and substation issues.
• Understand electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic functions of solar plant components.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and wear required PPE.
• Follow schedule 7:00am–3:30pm, with overtime and possible night work.
• Maintain company tooling and facilities.
