Job summary

Invenergy’s Dry Lake Energy Center in North Las Vegas, NV, seeks a Solar Technician to operate and maintain a 100 MW-AC solar facility. You will perform routine maintenance on site solar, substation, and related equipment, and support vegetation and safety programs.

The role requires electrical/mechanical aptitude, ability to travel up to 30%, and willingness to work nights and outdoors. You will troubleshoot inverter and tracker faults, read schematics, and adhere to NEC standards while

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Electrical/technical background or education preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% and support multiple project sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on all site solar, substation, and associated equipment.
• Perform vegetation management and operate large equipment per the vegetation plan.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic issues including inverter/tracker faults and network problems.
• Understand electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic functions of all solar components.
• Conduct daily site maintenance with proper safety gear to inspect and repair equipment.
