Job summary

Invenergy LLC is seeking a Solar Technician for the Crane Solar Project near Crane, TX. This role focuses on operating and maintaining a 150MW solar facility, covering mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to ensure reliable energy production.

You will work a 7:00am – 3:30pm schedule, with occasional nights and overtime, in a safety-conscious environment. Travel up to 30% and outdoor work are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of technical experience in electrical or related fields.
• Willing to travel up to 30% of the time.
• Willing to work nights during maintenance.
• Able to work outdoors in inclement weather.
• Able to climb and work safely from a portable ladder.
• Ability to follow directions and complete tasks with minimal oversight.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Able to move and lift up to 45 kg (100 pounds).
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on site solar, substation, and related equipment.
• Perform vegetation management, including operating large equipment per plan.
• Troubleshoot inverter faults, tracker faults, network and substation issues.
• Understand electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic functions of site components.
• Conduct daily site maintenance wearing safety gear to inspect and repair equipment.
• Work a 7:00am–3:30pm schedule Mon–Fri (40 hours) with overtime and possible night work; schedule varies.
• Maintain company tooling, facilities and a clean safe work environment.
