Job summary

Invenergy is seeking a Solar Technician for the Crane Solar site near Crane, Texas. You will assist in operating and maintaining the 150MW solar project, performing routine maintenance on solar, substation, and related equipment.

The role requires travel up to 30% and occasional night work during scheduled maintenance. The position offers a 7:00am–3:30pm Monday–Friday schedule (40 hours) with potential overtime.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 1 year technical experience or relevant education.
  • Willing to travel up to 30% of the time.
  • Willing to work nights during maintenance activities.
  • Must work outdoors in inclement weather.
  • Able to read electrical diagrams and schematics.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on solar, substation, and related equipment.
  • Perform vegetation management and operate large equipment per plan.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic problems (inverter/tracker faults, network issues, etc.).
  • Understand electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic functions of all site components.
  • Conduct daily site maintenance with safety gear; inspect, maintain, repair equipment.
  • Maintain tools, facilities, and a clean, safe work environment.
