Job summary

Palmetto is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician to join our field operations in the Newark, NJ area. You will provide onsite troubleshooting and repair of solar systems, work with installation and service teams, and help ensure customer systems perform optimally from Day 1.

You will represent Palmetto with homeowners, coordinate site visits, complete reports, and participate in safety and quality audits. A valid driver’s license and ability to climb ladders are required.

Qualifications

3+ years installing, repairing, and troubleshooting residential solar and storage systems.
Must be willing to climb ladders and work on rooftops in various conditions.
Valid state driver’s license and clean driving record.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Provide onsite troubleshooting and repair of solar systems.
Document visit and complete job close out report.
Schedule site visits directly with the customer when required.
Work with local field teams and central scheduling to optimize resolution times.
Assist with close out of pre-energization issues, ensuring projects are ready to operate.
Be the key Palmetto field representative for Service and Installation work.
Communicate arrival times and confirmations with homeowners as needed.
Perform site surveys and inspections as needed.
