Job summary

Palmetto is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician to uphold our promise of dependable system performance and positive customer experiences. You will work with the Services team to promptly resolve issues and ensure installations, maintenance, and Closeout activities run smoothly.

Based in the Philadelphia area (or nearby NYC/NJ options), you will be a key Palmetto field representative, delivering high-quality service and ensuring systems operate from Day 1 of operation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years installing, repairing, and troubleshooting residential solar & storage systems.
• General knowledge of residential home maintenance and repair beyond solar system scope.
• Electrical license (required in MA, a plus elsewhere).

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite troubleshooting and repair of solar systems.
• Document visit and complete job close out report.
• Schedule site visits with customers when required.
• Work with field teams to optimize resolution times.
• Assist with close out of pre-energization issues for operation readiness.
• Communicate with homeowners about arrival times and confirmations.
• Complete other tasks including site surveys and inspections.
