Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician (Level 1) for a full‑time, on‑site role in Livermore, CA. You will work under supervision to service solar equipment across multiple plants, perform basic testing and troubleshooting, and complete required documentation while prioritizing safety.

Responsibilities include on‑call support, equipment repair, and collaboration with EPC management to implement improvements. A strong safety mindset and reliable attendance are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required, technical training a plus.
• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and perform Lock Out/Tag Out of energized parts/systems.
• Basic knowledge of a solar installation/plant.
• Effective verbal and written English communications.

Responsibilities

• Operate and care for company property, equipment, and tooling.
• Service solar equipment in multiple solar plants under supervision.
• Perform basic solar equipment testing, troubleshooting and maintenance tasks under supervision.
• Respond to on-call requests for emergency equipment repairs.
• Prepare accurate documentation and reports of work performed.
