Job summary

Silicon Ranch is seeking a Solar Maintenance Technician II – Field Operations to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on solar facilities, primarily in Memphis, TN. The role involves electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, testing, and coordination with third-party contractors.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in electrical maintenance or related fields, with NEC/NFPA70E/OSHA knowledge, and the ability to work outdoors in varied weather. No direct solar PV experience required.

Qualifications

• Proficient with basic computer and electronics equipment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of NEC, NFPA70E and OSHA standards is expected.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on PV system, UPS, SCADA, substation, and MV/HV/OHE systems.
• Perform corrective maintenance and respond to emergency dispatches for critical systems.
• Log all work in CMMS and perform electrical testing as needed (IV Curve Tracers, Power Quality Meters, etc.).
• Assist with field investigations to support predictive analytics and root cause analysis.
