Job summary

Empower Your Home is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform residential solar service and warranty work with a focus on safety, quality, and customer experience. You will troubleshoot, repair, and audit installations while traveling as needed and collaborating with teams to ensure timely, high-quality outcomes.

The role demands hands-on problem solving, stamina for continuous improvement, and the ability to work in challenging outdoor conditions.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in the solar industry.
• Solar service experience required.
• Battery installation experience required.
• Knowledge of Enphase, Tesla, and SolarEdge monitoring systems.
• Ability to work in harsh conditions (heat, cold, wind, tight spaces).
• Able to stand long periods and work on rooftops.
• Willingness to travel.
• Excellent teamwork and customer relationship skills.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Complete service and warranty projects.
• Finish quality audits post installation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve residential solar warranty issues (modules, monitoring, storage).
• Investigate, mitigate and repair roof leaks.
• Troubleshoot AC/DC systems.
• Attend weekly safety and department meetings.
• Complete project documentation and close CRM tickets.
• Perform other tasks as required.
