Job summary

Sugar Hollow Solar is hiring a Field Service Technician II to maintain residential and commercial solar PV systems, including preventative maintenance and basic troubleshooting. The role emphasizes safety, clear communication, and effective field support across Sugar Hollow Solar installations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical aptitude, experience with rooftop work, and a commitment to high-quality service in Western North Carolina.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record is required.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in renewable energy, construction, roofing, electrical or related field is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine cleaning of residential and commercial solar panels to maintain energy production and system efficiency.
• Performs preventative maintenance on Sugar Hollow Solar signature solar systems.
• Conducts basic troubleshooting of solar PV systems and interprets system data to identify issues.
• Interprets basic system data and monitoring platforms to support issue identification.
• Completes minor electrical repairs on SHS signature systems and documents findings.
• Remains compliant with OSHA and safety standards on rooftops and during field work.
