Job summary

IronRidge, an Enstall company, is seeking a Field Applications Engineer to expand our solar mounting solutions across the Eastern United States, with a focus on New England.

Travel about 50% with 5–10 overnights monthly; the role includes technical product application support, training, PV layout design, and close collaboration with sales and engineering teams.

Requires 3–5 years of related experience or a relevant degree, ability to read engineering docs, OSHA 10, and NABCEP is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years related experience and/or a bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical installation and engineering procedures and regulations.
• Ability to travel approximately 50% of working time, with 5–10 overnight trips per month.

Responsibilities

• Plan territory technical sales visits, events, trainings
• Generate training reports to ensure engagements are tracked
• Coordinate and provide on-the-job training for opportunities on ground and rooftop
• Provide customer feedback on product/improvements
• Leverage network to generate product demand
• Organize curriculum for new products/services and training content
• Maintain records and report weekly on product/market changes
• Report on competitive landscape and market intelligence
• Design PV layouts in IR and other PV design software
• Document application support questions and calls
• Provide feedback to Engineering and Product Teams
• Perform additional duties as assigned
