Job summary

LiveWire Construction, Inc. is seeking an EPC Operations Specialist for our Westmont, IL office to drive pre-construction in civil and mechanical scopes.

You will interpret RFPs, prepare scope of work, solicit subcontractor bids, and integrate civil/mechanical estimates into the total EPC bid. The ideal candidate has 3–6 years in preconstruction or estimating within solar or civil construction and is proficient with Excel, MS Project, Bluebeam, and PlanSwift.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years in preconstruction, estimating, bid management, or project management within solar, civil construction, or related industry.
• Renewables estimating experience with labor factor analysis and project financial evaluation.
• Strong knowledge of solar project development and civil/mechanical scopes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; advanced Excel; MS Project; Bluebeam and PlanSwift a plus.
• Ability to read plans and specifications and solve problems independently.

Responsibilities

• Interpret solar EPC RFPs and bid documents to identify civil and mechanical scope.
• Prepare scope-of-work documents and bid packages for civil/mechanical subcontractors; solicit bids and manage subcontractor relationships.
• Consolidate civil/mechanical scope and pricing into the total EPC bid.
• Maintain familiarity with compliance requirements tied to civil/mechanical work (SWPPP, permits, environmental) and support VE recommendations.
• Assist with transition of awarded projects from bid to project management and field teams; coordinate site logistics during pre-construction.
