Job summary

CMTA is seeking an engineering professional to design, bid, and manage solar PV, battery, and EV charging projects for a diverse client base in Austin. The role emphasizes hands-on engineering with a focus on performance, reliability, and scope delivery.

The ideal candidate has experience with PV concepts, electrical diagrams, and inverter products, with a strong foundation in engineering and a self-motivated mindset. This onsite position supports a growing Energy Solutions team.

Qualifications

• 0-3+ years of experience.
• Experience with Revit/AutoCAD is preferred but not required.
• Electrical engineering: ability to develop, read and discuss single line diagrams for PV systems is preferred, but not required.
• Solar: knowledge of grid tied PV systems & associated components is preferred, but not required.
• Power Distribution: knowledge of 3-Phase Power Systems is preferred, but not required.
• Construction: basic understanding of project management, project flow & deadlines.
• Design: familiarity with SMA, SolarEdge, Fronius & other inverter products is preferred, but not required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is desired.

Responsibilities

• Work with a team of engineers to design, bid, project manage, and commission solar PV, battery and EV charging systems for CMTA clients.
• Collaborate with engineers and clients to develop effective energy solutions.
• Support on-site installations and project handoffs as needed.
