Job summary

CMTA, a Legence Company, is seeking an experienced engineer to join the Energy Solutions division. You will design, bid, manage, and commission solar PV, battery, and EV charging systems for CMTA clients, collaborating with a team of engineers to deliver high‑impact projects.

The ideal candidate has 5–10+ years in PV and battery installations, with strong knowledge of wiring, NEC 690, and PV modeling tools. Revit/AutoCAD proficiency is required for layout and coordination.

Qualifications

• 5-10+ years in PV & Battery installations (small to large commercial).
• NABCEP PV Installation/Designer/Commissioning/Inspector cert preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of AC/DC wiring, monitoring systems (SMA, SolarEdge, Fronius, Chint).
• Strong NEC knowledge, especially 690.
• Experience with PV modeling tools (SAM, PVsyst, Helioscope).
• Ability to read structural drawings and PV racking types.

Responsibilities

• Design, bid, project manage, and commission solar PV, battery, and EV charging systems.
• Collaborate with engineers to deliver projects for CMTA clients.
• Review interconnection documents and utility tariffs.
