Job summary

CMTA, a Legence company, is seeking a Solar Energy Engineer in Louisville, KY. You will join a team delivering solar PV, battery storage, and EV charging solutions, guiding projects from design through commissioning. The role emphasizes hands-on engineering, collaboration, and building energy performance contracts.

Requirements include 0-3+ years of experience and a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. Experience with Revit/AutoCAD and PV system knowledge are preferred.

Qualifications

• 0-3+ years of experience
• Experience with Revit/AutoCAD is preferred but not required
• Electrical engineering - ability to develop, read and discuss single line diagrams for PV systems is preferred, but not required
• Solar - knowledge of grid tied PV systems & associated components is preferred, but not required
• Power Distribution - knowledge of 3-Phase Power Systems is preferred, but not required
• Construction - basic understanding of project management, project flow & deadlines
• Design - familiarity with SMA, SolarEdge, Fronius & other inverter products is preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• The Energy Solutions team designs, bids, manages, and commissions solar PV, battery, and EV charging systems for CMTA clients.
• Collaborate with engineers to deliver energy-saving performance contracts and solar projects.
• Support project execution from concept through commissioning and handover.
