Job summary

Aleut Energy is seeking a Sales Representative to drive renewable energy sales in the Palmer/Wasilla area. You will educate customers, conduct site assessments, and design customized solar systems while delivering exceptional service and maintaining brand standards.

The role requires strong communication, independence, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. In-store and field sales support, with ongoing training and CRM usage, are core to success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of experience in customer service or sales in home improvement or related fields.
• Must pass background and MVR checks. Valid driver’s license required.
• Experience with solar or renewable energy a plus; knowledge of incentives helpful.

Responsibilities

• Generate new business through personal sales, lead follow-up, canvassing, in-store interactions, and event participation.
• Conduct site assessments and evaluate property suitability for solar installations.
• Educate customers on solar energy benefits, ROI, and available incentives.
• Design and propose customized solar energy systems based on customer needs.
• Prepare quotes, financial analyses, and sales contracts accurately and promptly.
• Maintain an organized CRM with leads, activity, and project notes.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth handoff to installation.
• Support marketing with customer trend input and product rollouts.
• Stay current on product offerings, financing options, permitting, and interconnection.
• Maintain showroom, inventory, and sales workspace; attend trainings and meetings.
