Job summary

Zeo Energy is seeking an MPU Electrician to support residential solar installations in the Chesapeake, Norfolk, and Virginia Beach area. You will upgrade main panels, install and maintain electrical systems, and work with a team to ensure safety and quality on site.

Top performers can earn through piece-rate pay per job, with experienced electricians averaging substantial annual earnings. Must be able to read blueprints, handle tools, and meet safety requirements.

Qualifications

5+ years of residential electrical experience including service upgrades.
Strong working knowledge of NEC codes related to solar, battery storage, and service panels.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical drawings.

Responsibilities

Perform Main Panel Upgrades (MPUs) or other residential service changes to support solar energy systems.
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential settings.
Read technical drawings to determine electrical layouts and wiring.
Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate measurement tools.
Collaborate with on-site teams to meet project requirements and timelines.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site.
Document work with photos, labels, and clear communication with crew and customers.
