Job summary

Primoris Renewable Energy is seeking a Senior Electrical Evaluator & Trainer to assess apprentice competency and deliver electrical training across multiple solar projects in Colorado. The role blends hands-on field evaluations, classroom instruction, and real-time coaching to ensure learners develop NEC, OSHA, and safety skills while meeting company standards.

The position requires 5–8 years in training or evaluations, NFPA 70E, OSHA 10/30, and a Journeyman license (NCCER instructor

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• NFPA 70E certificate (required).
• OSHA 10/30 certification (required or ability to obtain).
• Experience with solar PV systems strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with registered apprenticeship programs preferred.
• 5–8 years of experience in training, coaching, or mentoring apprentices.
• Experience conducting evaluations or assessments.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate Apprentice Competency: assess electrical apprentices’ skills (installation, wiring, troubleshooting, safety, NEC).
• Determine Qualification & Progression: identify improvements to qualification programs; pass/fail decisions; advise others.
• Lead & Deliver Electrical Training: conduct classroom and hands-on training aligned with curriculum.
• Provide Field Coaching & Feedback: observe apprentices on job sites and provide real-time coaching.
• Train on Solar Electrical Systems: instruct on solar PV components and installation best practices.
• Maintain Training & Evaluation Records: document assessments and progress per program requirements.
• Ensure Safety Compliance: reinforce OSHA/NEC safety standards; correct unsafe behaviors.
• Collaborate with Field Leadership: coordinate with supervisors to align training with site needs.
