Job summary

Primoris Renewable Energy is seeking a Senior Electrical Evaluator & Trainer to assess apprentice competency and deliver electrical training within a registered apprenticeship program in a solar construction environment. The role combines field evaluations, classroom instruction, and real-time coaching across multiple sites with travel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• 5–8 years in training, coaching, or mentoring apprentices or evaluating.
• NFPA 70E Certification required.
• OSHA 10/30 certification required or ability to obtain.
• Familiarity with registered apprenticeship programs (preferred).
• Experience with solar PV systems (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate electrical apprentices’ competency and provide real-time coaching on the job.
• Determine qualification and progression decisions for advancement within the apprenticeship program.
• Lead and deliver classroom and hands-on electrical training aligned with the curriculum.
• Provide field coaching and feedback during on-site work.
• Train on solar PV systems and stay updated on system installations and best practices.
• Maintain training and evaluation records per program requirements.
• Reinforce OSHA, NEC, and company safety standards; correct unsafe behaviors.
• Collaborate with field leadership to align training with job-site needs and act as primary contact for evaluation & training.
