Job summary

Primoris Renewable Energy seeks an Onsite OQ Evaluator and Trainer to assess field crews, proctor operator qualifications, and deliver hands-on equipment training for our Registered Apprenticeship Program. You will work with peers and external partners to improve training content and ensure regulatory compliance across solar construction sites.

The role requires 3–5 years in training or solar construction, a high school diploma, and the ability to obtain OQ certification within six months.

Qualifications

• onsite relocation to project community is required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3-5 years relevant training or solar construction/heavy equipment/natural gas utility experience.
• Must become certified as an Operator Qualification Evaluator within six months (180 days).
• This position requires driving responsibilities and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assess knowledge, skills, and abilities of solar construction and heavy equipment employees to develop and refine training and operator qualifications.
• Proctor tests and function as an Operator Qualification Evaluator under the OQ Plan and OSHA/regulatory requirements.
• Facilitate equipment training for the Registered Apprenticeship Program with hands-on instruction in heavy equipment operation.
• Ensure contractors and field personnel are properly qualified and performing tasks per procedures and regulations.
• Interpret regulations and determine applicability to company policies and procedures.
• Review, improve, and develop training content and apprenticeship curriculum modules.
• Provide technical support to managers, supervisors, and field personnel.
• Input training records into the Learning Management System (LMS).
