Job summary
ION Solar in Utah (Orem) seeks a Compliance Engineer to oversee electrical code compliance and design quality for residential solar installations. You will work with engineers and electricians to ensure safe, efficient, and code-abiding systems, and you will translate complex standards into actionable procedures.
Candidates should have 3+ years as a Master or Journeyman Electrician, PV design experience, or an electrical engineering background; NABCEP certification preferred.
Qualifications
- Proficient in electrical code understanding and installation.
- Experience coaching teams and upskilling staff.
- Ability to work with engineers and electricians on design decisions.
- Familiar with solar design software and compliance standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee code compliance and design quality for solar installations.
- Simplify and implement solar code compliance to maintain high standards.
- Coordinate with internal teams and field operations to resolve issues.
- Learn and apply Solar engineering and industry code standards to reduce rework and costs.
- Work with engineers on accurate design/install decisions.
- Maintain project timelines and handoffs across departments.
