Job summary

First Solar is seeking a Production Coater Technician I in Trinity, Alabama to support the beginning of the manufacturing process, including coating photovoltaic modules. You will safely operate equipment, manage materials, and ensure quality at the required rate.

This role requires a High School Diploma or GED, 2+ years of manufacturing experience, and the ability to work in a team, follow safety procedures, perform basic maintenance, and use simple hand tools and measurement devices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree or technical certificate preferred.
• 2+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Experience in warehousing, textiles, agriculture, or material inspection is acceptable.
• Honorable military experience in electrical/mechanical/chemical fields is valued.
• Internal candidates must meet internal training requirements and receive supervisor endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Safely operates and maintains tools and equipment to meet quality and productivity levels.
• Completes training within the required timeframe.
• Provides on-the-job training to team members when requested.
• Performs equipment maintenance using hand tools and instrumentation.
• Interfaces with equipment computers to monitor parameters and alarms.
• Monitors process data (SPC) and makes decisions to maintain process control.
