Job summary

Nautilus Solar Energy, LLC is seeking a Capital Markets Associate in Chicago to build and maintain complex project finance models, perform portfolio valuations, and support debt and tax equity origination efforts. You will evaluate opportunities using rigorous quantitative and qualitative methods and present findings to the Executive Team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
• Master's degree or CFA/CPA is a plus
• 2-5 years of experience in project finance or related field
• Experience in renewable energy sector is highly desirable
• Proven experience in financial modeling, analysis, and valuation of infrastructure or energy projects
• Proficiency in Excel and financial analysis tools
• Knowledge of PPA, tax credits, and debt/equity financing structures
• Experience using AI to assist with financial modeling and analysis
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Ability to present complex information clearly and concisely
• Excellent interpersonal skills and stakeholder management

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain project finance models, DCF analyses, and valuations
• Evaluate opportunities with quantitative and qualitative analysis
• Perform quarterly valuation of 200+ portfolio assets for executive review
• Develop models and marketing materials for debt and tax equity origination
• Prepare scenario-driven memos and board presentations
• Assess strategic opportunities, asset divestitures, and restructurings
• Track policy changes impacting asset economics
• Assist in structuring project financing agreements and term sheets
• Coordinate with lenders and investors to secure funding
• Support closing activities with dataroom and diligence
• Monitor budgets and project expenditures across development stages
• Collaborate with engineering, finance, and legal teams
• Provide regular updates to stakeholders
