Job summary

Pearce Renewables is hiring a Solar Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Technician to perform O&M on BESS equipment at commercial/industrial solar projects across the United States. Local candidates near Mojave, CA preferred, with a safety-first mindset and strong electrical skills.

The role requires 1-4+ years in electrical proficiency and renewable energy experience, plus OSHA 10/30 and NFPA70E certifications. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to multiple sites will be expected.

Qualifications

• 1-4+ years of electrical proficiency relating to electrical systems and components.
• 1-4+ years of Renewable energy experience preferred.
• Commitment to safety and attention to detail with the ability to recognize potential issues and provide safe solutions.
• Post-secondary education preferred.
• Electrical certifications such as OSHA 10, OSHA 30, and NFPA70E.
• Excellent written and verbal skills to meet EHS requirements.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) equipment.
• Perform Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) of equipment as an authorized person.
• Conduct daily safety and task planning discussions including JHAs and RAs.
• Interact with vendors and customers professionally.
• Support site work and supervise field work onsite focusing on safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Duties may evolve based on business needs.
