Job summary

Pearce in the Mojave, CA area is seeking a Solar O&M BESS Technician to perform operations and maintenance on Battery Energy Storage Systems at commercial and industrial solar projects across the United States.

You will troubleshoot BESS equipment, conduct safety planning, interact with vendors and customers, and support site work with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency. Local candidates within 50 miles of Mojave preferred; valid driver's license and OSHA-based certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• 1-4+ years of electrical proficiency relating to electrical systems and components is required.
• 1-4+ years of Renewable energy experience is preferred.
• Commitment to safety and attention to detail with the ability to recognize potential issues and provide safe solutions.
• Post-secondary education is preferred.
• Electrical certifications such as OSHA 10, OSHA 30, and NFPA70E are preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal skills to meet EHS requirements.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) equipment.
• Perform Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) of equipment as an authorized person under proper LOTO procedures.
• Conduct daily safety and task planning discussions including pre-task planning, JHAs, and RAs.
• Interact with vendors and customers in a professional manner.
• Support site work as part of a team, focusing on safety, quality, and efficiency.
