Job summary

Pearce is seeking an Advanced Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Technician to perform O&M tasks at commercial and industrial solar projects across the United States. Local candidates within 50 miles of New Haven, CT are preferred.

The role requires 2-4+ years of electrical and renewable energy experience, a strong safety mindset, and post-secondary education is preferred. OSHA 10/30 and NFPA70E certifications are welcome; excellent communication is essential.

Qualifications

• 2-4+ years of electrical proficiency relating to electrical systems and components.
• 2-4+ years of Renewable energy experience is preferred.
• Commitment to safety and attention to detail with ability to recognize potential issues and provide safe solutions.
• Post-secondary education is preferred.
• Electrical certifications such as OSHA 10, OSHA 30, and NFPA70E are preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal skills to meet EHS requirements.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) equipment.
• Perform Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) of equipment as an authorized person and under properly performed LOTO conditions.
• Conduct daily safety and task planning discussions including pre-task planning, JHAs, and RAs.
• Interact with vendors and customers in a professional manner.
• Act as a team member to support site work which could include supervising field work onsite focusing on safety, quality, and efficiency.
