Job summary

Vallum Associates seeks a Technical Asset Manager to oversee the performance, reliability, and technical strategy of a portfolio of C&I solar assets. You will own Capex scoping, vendor selection, technical issue resolution, and coordination across engineering and field operations.

You will monitor plant performance, drive improvements, manage O&M, warranties, OEMs, and service vendors, and collaborate with Finance and Project Managers on capital planning.

Qualifications

• Experience in C&I solar or renewable energy asset management, O&M, or engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong knowledge of inverters, modules, trackers, transformers, and SCADA/monitoring systems.
• Experience with OEM/vendor management, warranties, Capex, and technical reporting.

Responsibilities

• Monitor plant performance, availability, production, and equipment reliability.
• Identify performance issues and drive corrective and long-term improvement actions.
• Oversee O&M activities, equipment issues, warranties, OEMs, and service vendors.
• Develop Capex scopes, manage RFQs/bids, select vendors, and approve scopes within budget.
• Review contracts, engineering requests, and project documentation while coordinating with Project Managers.
• Work closely with Engineering, Operations, Finance, and external vendors on asset performance and capital planning.
