Job summary

Playa Largo Autograph Collection in Key Largo is seeking a guest-focused server to join our Food & Beverage team. You will take orders, deliver beverages and meals, process payments, and help maintain the restaurant area per hotel standards.

The role requires excellent communication with guests and staff, a minimum of one year in a customer-facing position, and flexibility for weekends/holidays. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a public-facing role.
• Must be 21+ years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.
• High school graduate or equivalent; some college preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take food and beverage orders and serve to guest tables according to hotel specifications.
• Retrieve and deliver alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and food orders, courteously and efficiently.
• Collect payments and assist in maintaining the restaurant area and equipment.
• Communicate effectively with General Manager, department managers, supervisors and staff.

• Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
• Ensures compliance with and completion of all daily operational procedures by the Food and Beverage Department.
• Maintains food and beverage safety and quality based on hotel, Shaner, and Franchise specifications.
• Ensures communication with General Manager, all other Department Managers, Supervisors and Staff.
• Other duties as assigned.

Take food and beverage orders, retrieve, and serve alcoholic, non-alcoholic beverages, and food orders to guest tables according to hotel specifications, courteously and efficiently. Collect payments. Also assists in the maintenance of the restaurant area and equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in a similar position dealing with the public.
• Minimum of 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.
• Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.
• High school graduate or equivalent, some college preferred.
• ServSafe and/or food safety training.
• Alcohol awareness training (such as TIPS).
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele.
