Qualifications

• No prior experience required; training provided.
• Strong communication and basic math skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data recording.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds multiple times per day.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic laboratory tests on soil and construction material samples under supervision.
• Assist with sample preparation and testing procedures.
• Compile test results and input data; handle data processing and related duties.
• Carry out soils laboratory testing including Atterberg limits, gradation analyses, swell testing, moisture content, visual classifications, unconfined compression strength, standard and modified proctor tests.
• Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment and assist with calibration of equipment.
• Record calibration and QA/QC documentation and notify supervisors of equipment issues.
• Support occasional fieldwork as needed.
