ECS Limited is seeking a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Soils Laboratory Technician for our Roanoke, VA team. No experience required; paid training is provided and certification fees are paid.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• No experience needed; paid training provided.
• Obtain lab certifications applicable to the lab work performed per ECS Technician Certification Policy.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic laboratory tests on soil and construction material samples under supervision.
• Assists with sample preparation and testing procedures.
• Compiles test results, data input, data processing, and other administrative duties.
• Performs soils laboratory testing including Atterberg limits, gradation analyses, swell testing, moisture content testing, visual classifications, UCS testing, and proctor tests.
• Maintains a clean and organized laboratory environment.
• Supports calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
• Keeps calibration records and QA/QC documentation.
• Notifies supervisors of damaged or missing equipment.
• Assists with additional lab functions and occasional fieldwork as needed.
