Soldier Hollow Nordic Center (Sports Discovery Center) | Midway, UT
If you like working with the public and being the go‑to person when things get busy, this role is for you. This is a hands‑on, guest‑facing role with variety throughout the year. Working at a winter sport venue focusing on Nordic ski disciplines, biathlon, and the longest winter tubing lanes in Utah means the winter season can get busy. Interested in learning more, keep reading to find out.
Soldier Hollow is an energetic, public‑facing venue where you’ll help people get outside, get oriented, and have a great day. This position is ideal if you enjoy variety and ownership. You’ll keep the Sports Discovery Center running smoothly, solve issues in real time, and help the team stay aligned during peak winter operations. All while creating a culture that thrives on interactions with the community and making an impact on guest experiences.
Most shifts are spent at the Sports Discovery Center welcoming guests, answering questions, and keeping check‑ins moving smoothly. As the on‑shift supervisor supporting a seasonal team, you’ll stay hands‑on with the point of sale (tickets, retail, concessions/coffee), step in to resolve guest issues with a calm, solution‑focused approach, and coordinate quick updates with other teams when plans change. You’ll also help keep the desk organized and close out the day accurately, so everything is set up for the next shift.
You’ll thrive here if you bring Collaboration and Excellence to a fast‑moving, guest‑first environment. Collaboration looks like stepping in when the line gets long, communicating clearly with other departments, and helping seasonal teammates learn the flow without making it complicated. Excellence shows up in the details: accurate transactions, clean processes, waivers completed, deposits and reports done right the first time, and guests who feel genuinely welcomed even on the busiest winter days. Success means the desk runs smoothly, guests leave with solutions (not frustration), and your team feels supported and ready.
We look forward to meeting you!
