Job summary

J&T Business Consulting in Columbia, MD, is seeking an experienced Software Test Engineer (Level 2) to support full-lifecycle software testing, automated test framework development, and system integration for mission-critical systems. You will design, develop, and maintain test plans, automated test suites, and test environments.

You will execute integration, acceptance, performance, and security testing across Linux and Windows, validate data interfaces, and collaborate with development teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline with 6+ years of software test engineering experience, or
• Master’s degree with 4+ years of software test engineering experience (Master’s substitutes for 2 years), or
• 10 years of relevant software test engineering experience without a degree.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, execute, and maintain test plans, cases, and automated testing workflows.
• Provision, configure, and maintain dedicated test environments and automation infrastructure.
• Perform I&T and Acceptance Testing to ensure functional and design requirements.
• Develop automated test scripts using Python.
• Execute performance, load, stress, interface, and security testing with code coverage tools.
• Configure Linux and Windows OS, test apps, and connected devices.
• Document test results, log discrepancies, and track remediation in verification workflows.
