J&T Business Consulting is seeking a Senior Software Engineer 3 Tester in Annapolis Junction, MD to lead automated testing for high-throughput C++ systems. The role includes building test frameworks, modernizing CI/CD pipelines, and developing Python-based test utilities in a complex hardware/software lab setting.

The ideal candidate has TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance, 15+ years of software engineering with a degree or 19 years without one, and strong experience with C++, Python, and shell

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; 15+ years software engineering with degree, or 19+ years without degree.
• Strong hands-on proficiency in C++, with Python and Shell scripting.
• Experience modernizing CI/CD pipelines and implementing automated testing frameworks.)
• Familiarity with hardware/test infra such as SDRs and enterprise servers.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and execute automated testing suites for complex C++ apps.
• Modernize CI/CD pipelines to support automated build and testing.
• Write test automation scripts in Python and Shell.
• Validate interfaces against hardware test environments including SDRs.
• Lead software test efforts and set QA standards across teams.
• Collaborate with systems and hardware engineers on trade-offs and constraints.
• Create and review test procedures, outcomes, and design documentation.
